The Rocket City Dance Club is all about learning and having FUN. We opened in Huntsville, Alabama, in March 1993, and for the last fifteen years we have been teaching people in the Huntsville, Madison, and North Alabama, area to dance. We teach dancing lessons in ballroom dancing, Latin dances, and swing dance. Our students and members enjoy attending various social events together.

We host the Rocket City Ballroom Showcase, and The Annual Huntsville Invitational. Some of the dances that we go to include the MARS (Marshall Athletic Recreation Social), The Cotton Ball and other dances at the Von Braun Civic Center. These events provide our members more opportunities to meet new friends have more fun and perform their new skills. Most members find these to be valuable learning experiences. Our staff performs exhibition dances also making these evenings both inspiring and entertaining. The winter show last year was a benefit for Teen Challenge of North Alabama. In previous years we have had benefits for the March of Dimes and the Huntsville Children's Advocacy Center.

Our members have the opportunity to attend and perform in dance competitions. For the last eight years Rocket City Dance Club has hosted The Huntsville Invitational Ballroom dance competition. In recent years we have participated in competitions in Knoxville, Nashville, Atlanta, Birmingham, and New Orleans. 

Closer to home, we go as a group to local clubs to dance to live music when available. At our club we have a Valentine, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and a New Years Eve  dance party.

Friday night is party night at Rocket City! Every Friday night we host a Ballroom and Latin dance!  The second weekend of every month we hold a Latin & Ballroom dance. We provide snacks and beverages at our smoke-free, alcohol-free weekly dance parties, providing our members a fun environment to practice as they learn. No partner is necessary. Your instructor will be your dance partner during the lessons, and at the Friday night parties you will dance with all the instructors and with other club members. 


Seven days a week we offer private lessons and group classes in Ballroom, and Latin dancing. Learn exactly what you want. The dances offered are rhythm dances such as the Swing, West Coast Swing, Hustle, Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Mambo, Merengue and the smooth dances are Foxtrot and Waltz, Tango, and Viennese Waltz. Rocket City Dance Club is the only Dance Club or Dance Studio that offers group classes and group lessons every weeknight. This combined with the high quality information gained on private lessons allows you to learn faster than students at our competitors. Dancing is GREAT quality time and a fun way to exercise for couples and singles.
